Give Back to Your Community - Become a Volunteer

As Mahatma Gandhi said, “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” Volunteering is an excellent way to get life and work experience. Volunteers are a critical part of the education outreach efforts at AAA Fair Credit Foundation (FCF). FCF is continually seeking community-minded individuals, organizations, and businesses looking to utilize their skills and interests to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. FCF has a variety of volunteer opportunities available, all of which support our mission to expand financial capability to the communities we serve. All volunteer opportunities can be tailored to individual schedules and needs.

Below are various volunteer opportunities. If you're interested in getting involved please register to become a volunteer by clicking the registration link below.

Financial Literacy Education Volunteer
Work with FCF and a local sponsoring organization (examples include but are not limited to neighborhood organizations, community centers, fraternal organizations, religious organizations, etc) to plan a financial education course or courses based on educational workshops developed by FCF.

Budget Planning Volunteer
Meet regularly with a client and discuss their money management habits. Our hope is that this would not be a “teaching platform” but an opportunity to build relationships.

Financial Literacy Advocate Volunteer
Work with FCF to develop informal community based networks by occasionally discussing general financial literacy topics (like the importance of saving money) in a non-confrontational manner with their friends, co-workers and neighbors. Also encourage people to learn more about managing their money by writing letters to the editor of local newspapers, posting information on community bulletin boards, or blogging on social networking sites such as Twitter or Facebook.

Student Financial Literacy Ambassador
Student representatives (ages 12-18) dedicated to increasing early awareness by promoting savings and youth financial and economic literacy education in schools, churches, associations, and youth groups.

Office Support Volunteer
Assist staff, help with filing, data entry, putting together mailings, and answering the phones.

Utah Saves Workplace Site Coordinator Volunteer
Be the liaison with the Utah Saves staff concerning site logistics and examine ways in which program participation can be expanded/increased. Be an ongoing resource for ideas to maintain participation and momentum.

Financial and Housing Counselors routinely counsel clients dealing with unique or complicated cases that require additional legal knowledge or action. Our counselors call on the legal advice of an On-Call Attorney to be sure that the client receives the best advice possible.

Interpreter / Translator / Sign Language
