Expanding Financial CapabilityAAA Fair Credit Foundation (FCF) is a national ISO 9001:2008 certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing financial counseling, financial education, debt management, HUD-certified Housing Counseling, and asset-building programs. Our mission is to expand financial capability to ensure that individuals and families experiencing financial hardship have access to quality financial education, appropriate financial products, accredited counseling services and financial assistance. We serve to help consumers overcome the isolation many people feel when dealing with overwhelming financial burdens. Not only do our programs change lives and financial behaviors, they also help eliminate the outside distractions and stress of managing personal finances.Certified Financial Counseling & Budget Planning Our Certified Credit Counselors provide a free personal comprehensive analysis of your financial situation. They will discuss a full range of options and strategies to consider for addressing your financial situation and lifestyle. These include a thorough written budget analysis, debt repayment options, financial education tools and resources, and more. Our Counselors will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each option and will make recommendations for which options are best suited to meet your individual needs, goals and circumstances. ConsumerCents Financial Education We offer a wide range of financial education programs through our ConsumerCents® financial education empowerment program. From our regularly scheduled seminars to our award-winning publications, we know that financial education is power. Topics include buying a home or car, avoiding foreclosure, dealing with identity theft, rebuilding your credit score, and much more. Debt Management & Consolidation Programs Through our debt management and consolidation repayment programs we help people become debt-free without a loan or bankruptcy. In most cases, our debt management program can help reduce monthly payments including other concessions from participating creditors enabling bankruptcy prevention and no additional debt accumulation. HUD-Certified Housing Counseling | Foreclosure Prevention | Reverse Mortgage Counseling If you are experiencing problems with your current mortgage and need help with foreclosure prevention or a loan modification, our Certified Housing Counselors can provide free assistance.Housing Counseling is designed to help current homeowners preserve homeownership, educate first-time homebuyers, and improve financial stability. We also provide pre-purchase certification and Reverse Mortgage (HECM) counseling. Individual Development Accounts (IDAs) | Assets & Opportunity Initiative The Utah Individual Development Account Network (UIDAN), a multi-faceted microsavings program, provides low-wage working families with the opportunity, incentive, and institutional support necessary for them to save for and acquire productive assets that yield new wealth and long-term financial stability. The program matches $3 for every $1 saved for qualified participants which can then be used to toward education, home ownership, small business development, or assistive technology. Workplace Financial Education By providing people with access to financial education in the workplace, financial distress decreases and financial well-being improves. AAA Fair Credit Foundation's ConsumerCents® Employee Assistance Program (EAP) can be customeized and delivered on-site at your location, at a time convenient to you and your staff. The same courses are available to churches, schools, and community groups in an effort to spread financial education awareness and strengthen our society. | |||||
